Item description: * See scan - perfect condition for this kind of an antique jewelry piece. This is an absolutely scarce Imperial / Royal 19th century Russian gold and diamonds ring jewel made by an unkown master jeweler. The ring has about 27 diamonds set in the typical for that time form. The diamonds are very large and 5 of them are about the size of 1/2 karat each, 2 are about 0.4 karats each and the remaining are smaller, but probably not below 0.1 karat. Probably the total diamond weight of all the precious stones / gems on that ring are about 4 karats. The ring is solid 14 karat gold. The story behind this ring is that it was given to a lady from the Bulgarian Royal Palace court by the Grand Dutchess / Princess or Russian Queen Maria Pavlovna during her vist in Bulgaria for the Grand Opening of the Tzar / King Alexander II who freed Bulgaria from the Ottoman Turkish Empire during the Russo Turkey War of 1878. The Grand Dutchess spent quite some time in Bulgaria and rumors say that she was the one responsible for locating the right wedding partner / wife of the Bulgarian Prince / King Ferdinand I. The ring is a true Royalty piece and it is one really scarce Royalty memorabilia present / gift. The total weight of the ring is probably around 7 grams. Absolutely scarce antiques jewelry collector piece and one of the rare Russian antique Royalty memorabilia rings.
