Item description: * See scan - very good condition. This is an extremely rare medal from the annual sports championship held at the American Robert College in Constantinople (now Istanbul) and at that time the Capital of the Ottoman Turkish Empire. The medal was masterly hand made in Britain and bears all the hallmarks of the British sterling silver make. The medal was awarded as a second prize for Running Hop Step Jump. Extremely nice and scarce Athletics item, just a couple of years after the first Olympic Games...
