Item description: * See scan - absolutely perfect condition and comes in original leather and velvet box. This is a nice and rare WWI era Serbian / Yugoslavian pilot and aviation charm badge or brooch jewel depicting an airplane propeller. Most likely it was a tie pin and not exactly an uniform badge.
The propeller is made out of solid 14 karat yellow and white gold with the center of the prop being a large 0.45 carat brilliant cut diamond with an average SI1-SI2 clarity and perfect F-G color. At both ends of the propeller badge there are two pairs of smaller old miner's cut diamonds. Most likely the total diamond weight in this pilot's pin is about 0.5 carats.
The box is from one of the famous Belgrade downtown jewelry / jewellery stores of the Antonievic Bros. The pin weighs 5 grams of gold and is 52mm long. During WWI the Kingdom of Serbia was an Imperial Russian war ally altogather with France. Scarce militaria / military collector aviation and pilot related piece and one of the nice Serbian Royal Air Force antique diamond jewels and brooches / pins.
