Item description: * Important turn of the century antique drop earrings with spectacular VVS clarity pear shaped emeralds open set in 18 karat white gold. The two NATURAL and UNTREATED emeralds show NO signs of oil enhancement or other treatment and possess an exceptional deep vivid green "gota de aceite" color. Most certainly the emeralds are of Colombian Muzo mine origin and both pear shaped gems weigh approximately 1.8 carats or 0.90 carat each. Each of the ear studs has on top a gentle flower closed set throughout with average VS clarity and D-E color old European brilliant cut diamonds and center stones have and estimated weight of about 0.35 carats each. Both earrings have a total of 18 diamonds and a total estimated diamond weight of 1.5 carats. Gross weight of the earrings is 4.1 grams of 18 karat white gold. The original posts on each earring’s reverse had been replaced with newer and stronger ones, so were the original clutches. The earrings measure 36mm in length and are 9mm wide across their widest points where the two diamond flowers are. Superb quality antique Edwardian era collector jewelry / jewellery set and one of the exceptional pairs of top Muzo mine Colombian emerald and diamond earrings, as well as a fantastic jewel in general.
